Emily and David were married at First Presbyterian Church in Charlottesville, VA. After a beautiful ceremony, we all went to Greencroft Club for the reception. It was a memorable afternoon and a good time was had by all. Congratulations to the newlyweds!

Lauren and Brian were married and had their reception at the beautiful Veritas Vineyard in Afton, Virginia. The wedding took place outdoors under the gazebo, and for the reception, we all moved in to the ballroom. Lauren was such a beautiful, laid-back bride to photograph.

Megan and George were married in Charlottesville this summer. Their ceremony was at Farmington Country Club, and the weather, though it was threatening, permitted a beautiful outdoor wedding. The reception was a lot of fun, and like Sara’s and Justin’s reception, the music was a real highlight. Family and friends danced the night away to the sounds of nationally acclaimed Big Ray and the Kool Kats. If you have never had the pleasure of hearing the Kool Kats in action, I recommend you catch one of their shows. Talk about some classy talent…Awesome.

This beautiful young couple was married recently at King Family Vineyards out in Crozet, Virginia. It was a super hot afternoon, but neither the couple nor the guests let that stand in the way of their having a wonderful evening. Of particular note was the music and dancing at the reception. A band out of Baltimore, The Real Geniuses, absolutely lit the place on fire! These guys specialize in 80’s music, and they were so much fun! I could not recommend them more highly. It was a great event to photograph!

I wanted to thank Claire Goodman, wedding officiant and creator of the Charlottesville Wedding Blog, for opening my eyes to the power of blogging! Claire sent me an email a few weeks ago, inviting me to write a guest post for her very informative wedding blogpage. She was kind enough to include my short post on her site (along with some photos), and my head has been reeling ever since! A number of my friends have blogs…Why did it take me so long to figure this out? Anyway…thank you, Claire. Hope to see you at a wedding again soon!

I love when weddings take place at a family member’s home! Sara and Adam were recently married at Sara’s mom and dad’s place…It was absolutely beautiful. The two were married in the frontyard, overlooking the mountains. After a gorgeous ceremony, the guests all walked around to the backyard for the reception. The atmosphere at home weddings is generally laid back and easy…comfortable. This one was no exception. We had a delicious dinner together, lots of dancing, and surprise fireworks over the lake before the bride and groom headed off to the airport! It was fun to photograph.

I had the pleasure of photographing Alison and Brian’s wedding recently. The two were married at the University of Virginia Chapel, and they had their reception at The Boar’s Head Inn. We were blessed with perfect weather (sunny skies and cool temperatures) and the day unfolded beautifully. Friends and family appeared to have a fantastic time along with the bride and groom. This couple is highlighted on my webpage in the galleries. Congratulations to the newlyweds, and enjoy Costa Rica!

Some design changes and updated photos have been added to my website by Darcey Ohlin of Watermark Design in Charlottesville, Virginia. I am very pleased with my site’s new look, and in particular, this new addition…a linked blogpage! I am new to blogging, but I am looking forward to personalizing my site by writing some reflections and posting a few shots from weddings as I photograph them. Enjoy!
